Special Information for Undergraduates Support to SAGE from the Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program of The National Science Foundation provides waiver of fees and a small stipend for attendance at SAGE for undergraduate students and for recent graduates (generally within one year of graduation and not enrolled in graduate school) who are citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. or its possessions. Awarding of stipend and travel support  is automatic if accepted to SAGE.Undergraduate students who are not U. S. citizens or permanent residents DO NOT qualify for NSF/REU support, and are not considered REU undergraduates. Students qualifying as "REU undergraduates" must still submit $100 with application, which will be returned upon arrival. For REU Undergraduates, arrival and departure times may be different.
