Prospective Plans for SAGE 2005

The SAGE 2005 core program (all participants: U. S. undergraduates, graduates, and foreign students) will be held in Santa Fe, New Mexico, from Thursday, June 23 through Thursday, July 14. Arrival is on Wednesday, June 22, with registration from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.  Departure will be in the late afternoon or evening of July 14 or morning of July 15 (Friday).

For U. S. undergraduates, arrival is on Sunday, June 19, with registration from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.  SAGE will begin at 9 AM on Monday, June 20.   SAGE will extend through 2:00 PM, Friday, July 15, with departure that evening or on the morning of July 16.   

Detailed arrival instructions and maps will be mailed after acceptance.

The application deadline for all participants is Thursday, April 1, 2005.  This date is firm. Applicants will be notified of acceptance/non-acceptance by approximately April 15.  The fee for SAGE 2005, including room and board, is $450. $100 must be received FROM ALL PROSPECTIVE PARTICIPANTS with the application.  Applications will not be considered without it. The $100 fee will be RETURNED to all applicants if not accepted to SAGE.

For those participants who wish to arrive early or stay late (before or after the dates above), you MUST make other arrangements such as with local motels. SAGE cannot cover additional room and board expenses.

The tentative workplan for SAGE 2005 includes a Vibroseis refraction/reflection, gravity, and EM experiment of structures associated with the Rio Grande rift; and a combined geophysical survey of an environmental or archeological site. Details of the work plan are to be determined.
