Description:

Magma (Magma.pdf) is a simple utility that calculates silicate magma/lava classifications and properties from user-entered major-element compositions. The following screen shot shows results for a typical andesite pumice (tephra), which has 0.1 wt% H2O. CIPW Norms, classifications, density, texture, and viscosities are calculated.
