Current Version: 2.78.0490* (27 November 2007)

*Version includes Daylight Saving Time change of 2007 and tested for Windows Vista

Description:

NoteTime is a desktop application especially designed to augment and facilitate Windows NT/2K/XP/Vista (will also work with Windows95/98/ME). NoteTime provides a number of useful applets for your desktop, all of which are accessible from NoteTime or available as stand-alone applications:

  1. A user configurable toolbar that can show system resources, time and date, and user selected shortcut icons. The toolbar format, size, and placement are configurable with an option to "stay on top" and make sure no other windows are hidden by it.
  2. Linked calendar and alarm applets (shown on the toolbar) for user-specified alarms with messages and sounds.
  3. A MidiPlayer that plays user-specified libraries of midi files.
  4. A screen-saver control that a) enable/disable the screen saver, b) shuffle through available screen savers so each time the screen saver is activated, a new one is displayed, c) specify "hot corners" for immediately activating or disabling the screen saver, d) specify the time after which the screen saver will switch to a blank screen for energy saving purposes, and e) select a delay time after which the system password will be required.
  5. A handy notepad for placing a "yellow sticky" on the desktop. .
  6. A shutdown utility that can reside in the system tray for rapid shutdown, logons, etc.
  7. A TimeControl (shown on the toolbar) that allows the user to either manually or automatically sync the system clock with an internet time provider.

NoteTime Applications

NoteAlarm: Convenient way to set configurable alarms with sounds, text display, and a talking clock

NoteAlarm

NoteCalendar: Tidy calendar display that links with alarms set by NoteAlarm.

NoteBlank: Configurable screen saver that will turn off the monitor power to save energy.

NoteDown: A one-touch Windows shutdown application. Various shutdown options are avialable.

NotePlayer: Midi-file player (sequencer) that includes library file capabilities and volume controls

NoteScreen: Control your screen savers; it allows activation by "hot corners" or clicking the system tray icon, automatic screen saver change, one-click screen locking and blanking (by NoteBlank), and the option of playing midi files when the screen saver is running. It is a real help to desktop security in that one click starts a screen saver and password protects your desktop (even if the screen saver is not set for password protection).

NoteSync: Let it run silently and automatically keep your system clock in-sync with a variety of internet time servers.

The following screen shots illustrate the optional NoteTime NoteBar and NotePad

NoteTime is configured entirely by popup menus or an options panel, and tooltips displayed on the screen help the user navigate.
